What is the Cultural Office?

The Cultural Office sees itself as a mediator, contact and cooperation partner for Dortmund's creative artists and players in the independent cultural scene. In addition, the Cultural Office promotes the projects and programs of Dortmund's twelve independent cultural centers and cooperates with them and many other Dortmund artists in numerous events with a local to international focus. In Dortmund's city districts, the Cultural Office supports cultural activities of local citizens as well as intercultural art and cultural projects in the districts with funds from Sparkasse Dortmund.

Who can apply for funding?

In principle, all artists and cultural practitioners can apply for funding.

How do I apply for funding?

Applications can be submitted to the Cultural Office. The funding decision is made by a committee, a jury or the cultural office itself, depending on the funding program.
